Joomla is Open Source project and as such is completely free. Joomla Open source community is very large and there are many components and modules that are also free to use which greatly facilitates and accelerates the development of CMS.
Joomla provides a very easy to install additional components with which you can extend the functionality of your website. It is important to note that most of the components during installation create their own directories, files and tables in the database, but do not affect the existing ones. The components vary in their functionallity, and it is enough to find and install the appropriate component.
